A big welcome from the P&C to all parents and carers, especially of students in Year 7.
Our meetings are every third Wednesday of the month during school term at 7.30 pm in the Staff Common Room. During COVID restrictions the P&C use Zoom to meet.
BUT WHAT CAN BEING A MEMBER OF THE P&C DO FOR YOU? THE ANSWER IS, PLENTY!
- You can meet other parents and carers.
- You can gain a broader understanding of the school strategic direction and overarching philosophy that guides decisions.
- The P&C is regularly consulted on various aspects regarding the school and their voice acts as an important aspect in decision making
- You will gain valuable insights into what goes on in classrooms from the highly informative presentations given by teachers.
- If you can’t make meetings you can still be on the P&C email list and receive the minutes to keep yourself informed.
It doesn't matter how much or how little you become involved, every contribution of your time or expertise counts. Your child will appreciate that you are helping to make a difference to the quality of education at Katoomba High.
