Katoomba High School has six support classes that offer alternative learning programs for students with additional needs who benefit from smaller classes.
The classes cater for students with Mild, Moderate or Severe Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Mental Health Disorders.
Students are supported in class in a variety of ways and may access mainstream classes depending on their Individual Education or Transition Plan. The majority of students follow a Life Skills curriculum for all or most of their subjects.
